Patternsfrom Agency - the biggest textile and surface design service provider in Scandinavia

Welcome to NEXUS Startup Diaries, the number one place to discover the hottest and most inspiring startups and founders.

Today we're excited to meet Jenni Moberg of Patternsfrom Agency

So Jenni, tell us more about Patternsfrom

We are the biggest textile and surface design service provider in Scandinavia. We represent 10 Finland-based designers in the global home textile market. Our business model is based on licensing of the designs, which enables fair pricing for both the manufacturer and the designer.

How did you come up with the business idea and what problem are you looking to solve?

We two founders are a combination of business, design, engineering and education. We wish to do our part in the global textile crisis by providing good, long-lasting design.

What made you want to start your own business?

I have been an entrepreneur since 2007, but only recently I realized that it is not creative industries Patternsfrom Agency is operating in, but it is a tech company. That has given a lot of boost into pivoting and building.

What stage is your business currently at?

We know that the business model is working, so now it is time to scale it up! We are looking for financing at the moment to build up some kind of a platform there designers and manufacturers can easily meet and communicate.

What do you love most about being an entrepreneur?

The freedom, communicating with the customers as well as solving the challenges that are given to you as an entrepreneur.

What is the number one business tip you've learned that you'd like to share with fellow budding entrepreneurs?

Stay focused...it really is the number one tip for everything. Oh... and always be courageous!

Who are your Startup Heroes?

I don't have one. I admire all entrepreneurs who have been brave enough to try entrepreneurship as their path. It is easy to talk about it, but building something spectacular, or even something average, is easier to talk about that to really do.

Where can people find you online?

Give me a shout on LinkedIn - Looking forward to connecting soon!
